This course helps you build the technical skills for advising on more complex problems and the commissioning and influencing skills you need to work at a more senior level. You’ll learn how to apply intervention logic to real problems, and how to commission and influence others effectively to achieve the outcomes that matter.
The course is designed for public sector advisors with at least five years’ experience who are ready to take on more senior responsibilities.

Course modules
Module one: Systems intervention logic
Develop confidence in applying intervention logic to policy and advisory work through comprehensive theory and practical application.
Module two: Commission and influence well
- Develop expertise in commissioning and reverse commissioning, adapting your approach when priorities change.
- Strengthen your ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders to facilitate timely delivery of quality work.
- Apply practical approaches for formulating free, frank and framed advice
