FACILITATOR

LLB / MEnvSt

Isabella Cawthorn

Isabella’s energetic and engaging facilitation draws on rich experience in brokering multi-stakeholder partnerships, and in catalysing conversations that set groups up for success.

Learning with Isabella is stimulating, rewarding and even fun.

Isabella has built a 20-year career as a process-designer and independent facilitator specialising in the “hearts and minds” dimensions of difficult public-sector decisions. She intermeshes community experts and technical specialists, designs processes that generate powerful insights, and creates spaces where people can disagree constructively and move forward together.
In the last decade she has been sought after to work in diverse infrastructure-related decision spaces Inside and alongside government and councils – from cycleways through urban renewal to road-building and wind-farm construction.

When she’s not out cycling, sailing or walking with her dog Tahi, Isabella volunteers on things that help regular people make good change in the places they live. She founded Talk Wellington, currently hosts Urbanerds, and is always keen to kōrero about liveable towns and cities.
