Hannah Higgison

 

Hannah Higgison (Ngāti Whātua) holds a B.A. in te reo Māori from Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington, as well as the graduate diploma Te Pīnakitanga ki Te Reo Kairangi from Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. She works primarily as a te reo Māori teacher and tutor within Te Kawa a Māui at Te Herenga Waka, as well as facilitating for Kāpuhipuhi. As a second language learner, Hannah is passionate about language revitilisation and effective pedagogy, and enjoys creating an accessible, fun, and welcoming class environment. Ko te reo kia rere, ko te reo kia tika, ko te reo kia Māori.
