Strategic Alignment and Organisational Value
Examine the strategic role of data and AI oversight in achieving organisational goals, maintaining stakeholder trust, and delivering return on investment. Learn how to align initiatives with broader organisational strategy and foster innovation through responsible data practices.

Ethics, Risk, and Responsible AI
Explore key ethical considerations, including bias, transparency, and unintended consequences. Gain practical tools for risk mitigation and ensure AI use is safe, trusted, and aligned with legal and cultural expectations.

Governance Models and Operational Frameworks
Compare centralised and decentralised models of governance. Understand how to embed clear roles and responsibilities, foster a culture of transparency and accountability, and apply inclusive governance principles, including kaitiakitanga and stewardship.

Tools, Technologies, and Human Oversight
Identify and evaluate tools and technologies that support effective AI oversight. Learn how to integrate compliance and monitoring processes into business systems while maintaining human judgement at the core of decision-making.

Stakeholder Engagement and Policy Design
Learn strategies to engage boards, executives, and teams in data and AI oversight. Develop or refine organisational policies, communication practices, and evaluation mechanisms that drive alignment and demonstrate sustained value from AI investments.

Further Information

This course is delivered as a full-day in-person workshop at our Wellington venue. It includes a mix of facilitator-led sessions, small-group exercises, and whole-group discussion. Group size is limited to 16 participants to ensure meaningful interaction and personal feedback. Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea are provided to support networking and collaboration.

You will receive a digital certificate of attendance and a Wellington Uni-Professional digital badge. These include the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours completed, making them suitable for recognition by professional organisations and employers.
