Pip Woodward

Pip, currently serving as the Deputy Principal at Ōtūmoetai College, brings a wealth of experience and expertise in fostering educational environments that prioritize coaching and mentoring. In her previous role as the National Coordinator for the Ministry of Education-funded contract on ‘Whole School Approach to Wellbeing,’ Pip was instrumental in implementing strategies for holistic student development.

Having had the privilege of working with a diverse range of educational stakeholders, Pip is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative school culture. Her focus is on authentically nurturing the wellbeing of everyone involved, contributing to the creation of a flourishing learning community. Guided by cultural relational and responsiveness principles, she strives to adapt approaches to meet the unique needs of students and educators.

With a Master’s in Educational Leadership, Pip conducted a thesis exploring the intersections of complexity, adult developmental theory, leadership coaching, and leading change. This research reflects her ongoing commitment to understanding and applying relevant theories to enhance the educational experience, empowering individuals and organizations to thrive in dynamic educational landscapes.

Pip’s leadership philosophy centers on the transformative power of coaching and mentoring, recognizing them as integral tools for personal and professional development.
