Lisa Marriott

Lisa is Professor of Taxation and Associate Dean (Research) at Wellington School of Business and Government, Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington. She has previously worked in industry as a Financial Controller and Accountant in the private sector in the United Kingdom, and in internal audit in the New Zealand public sector. For the past 12 years, Lisa has worked in academia. 

Lisa’s primary teaching areas are taxation and financial accounting. She researches in the area of taxation and social policy. Lisa has published/co-published two books, as well as many journal articles on a range of topics including the taxation of retirement savings, the treatment of white- and blue-collar crime, and taxation and social justice.
