Judi Vernau

Judi has worked as an information architect and taxonomist for many years and specialises is the organisation, structuring and description of information. She has worked for clients across the public and private sectors in various parts of the world, and came to New Zealand in 2013 to develop an ontology for the Department of Conservation. Since then she has developed metadata schemes, taxonomies and ontologies for several government departments, and has been researching the options for an all-of-government ontology for Archives New Zealand.

Judi is the author of several papers and the editor of International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO) UK Conference Proceedings, and has frequently presented at industry events. In 2012 she was a visiting lecturer in Information Architecture at City University, London, and has been teaching various aspects of information architecture at Victoria University of Wellington since 2014.
