Jo Wailling

Dr Jo Wailling is a clinician researcher, human factors professional and accredited mediator. Her career in healthcare spans 30 years, includes clinical leadership roles in the UK and NZ, and she currently works as an independent scholar and consultant. Jo partners with government agencies, researchers, and advocacy groups to collaboratively design, deliver or evaluate restorative initiatives in international health and disability settings. Her notable work includes New Zealand’s restorative response to surgical mesh harm and her work as Co-chair of the National Collaborative for Restorative Initiatives in Health alongside Graham Cameron. Her PhD asked what works, and for whom, with regard to restorative responses to adverse events in the NZ health and disability systems.
