Jeremy’s career has been shaped by a clear focus on strengthening the connection between education and business. He brings deep expertise in building meaningful links between learners, industry, and education and training organisations, ensuring that capability development is aligned with real-world needs.

His experience spans labour market skills analysis, qualifications and micro-credential design, educational quality assurance, and workforce development. He is also a Board member of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.

Jeremy has held a range of senior leadership roles across Aotearoa New Zealand, including Chief Executive of Muka Tangata, Chief Insight Officer at Beef + Lamb New Zealand, Director of Strategy, Innovation and Communication at Wellington City Council, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor International and Business at Lincoln University.

He has also served as Chief Executive of an industry training organisation and as Executive Director of the Industry Training Federation. Earlier in his career, Jeremy worked on labour market policy within central government and contributed to education and skills development through BusinessNZ.

At Kāpuhipuhi Wellington Uni-Professional, Jeremy leads the organisation’s role as a gateway between Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington and the wider lifelong learning community. He is focused on strengthening connections between University faculties, academics, industry, and the community, ensuring lifelong learning opportunities are relevant, accessible, and impactful.
