As General Manager Engagement at Wellington Uni-Professional, Gary plays a key role in the organisation’s strategic direction setting, engagement, and marketing. Gary led the development of its initial Strategic Plan, Engagement Strategy, and marketing initiatives.

Gary previously worked at Victoria University of Wellington’s other subsidiary, Wellington UniVentures, where he led the growth and impact of the Manaaki New Zealand Scholarship Programme activities as well as other development partnerships across Asia and the Pacific. Now with Wellington Uni-Professional, these programmes continue to flourish. Prior to this Gary spent eight years in the international finance sector, working in sales and business development in Dublin’s reinsurance industry.

He holds a Masters of Business and Technology from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University of Wellington. Gary is also a qualified Chartered Accountant, bringing his financial acumen to engagement and business development activities.
