Eddie Clark

Eddie Clark is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Te Herenga Waka — Victoria University of Wellington, where he has taught since 2015. His expertise lies at the intersection of administrative law, regulatory practice, and public participation in governance — making him an ideal guide for professionals navigating the accountability demands of the modern state.

Eddie brings both practitioner and academic depth to his teaching. Before entering academia, he worked at a leading New Zealand commercial firm, specialising in regulatory and administrative law. He then completed his LLM and SJD at the University of Toronto, where he also taught at both the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School, and contributed research to the Law Commission of Ontario.

A VUW alumnus himself, Eddie’s current research focuses on how administrative law can open up government decision-making to greater public participation — a theme that runs directly through the heart of this course.
