Kate is an associate professor in the Faculty of Education at Victoria University of Wellington. She is a former secondary school teacher and professional development facilitator. Her research areas include mentoring and coaching and educational leadership. Kate teaches in post-graduate programmes including the Masters of Education and the Masters of Secondary School Leadership. Kate studied mentors as educational leaders in the US as part of her Fulbright-Cognition Scholar Award in Education Research.
