Course overview

Do you want to become more confident to teach maths to students in Years 4 to 10? We have developed an online course to do just that.

This 8-week micro-credential is designed to support teachers working with students from Years 4 to 10 who want to learn powerful mathematics teaching strategies and develop their confidence to teach mathematics effectively. Participants will explore, discuss, and design evidence-based ways of helping students understand, use, and enjoy mathematical ideas.

We will be sharing engaging and fun ways to use equipment, representations and real-life contexts to advance successful mathematics learning and promote confidence and pleasure in understanding and using mathematical ideas.

Cameo videos of great teachers sharing the ways they teach about fractions, decimals and percentages are included throughout.

If you are a Primary or Intermediate teacher, you could be eligible for the MOE Tertiary Fees Funding Support to attend this course (course code MC20404). Please see the bottom of the page for further information.
