Gillian McCarthy

Dr Gillian McCarthy is a design researcher who focuses on digital accessibility and user experience design in healthcare. She is recognised by the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) as a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) and also holds a PhD in Design Innovation from Victoria University of Wellington, a BCApSc Hons in Design Studies, and BA in Psychology from the University of Otago. Her research investigates how we can raise awareness of digital accessibility and implement it more effectively within New Zealand organisations.
