Rebecca Bednarek

Rebecca Bednarek is an Associate Professor at Victoria University of Wellington – Te Herenga Waka. She is a passionate educator having taught strategic management in universities at both the United Kingdom and New Zealand. She has also engaged in strategy work and education for professionals executives from a wide range of sectors, including in financial services as well as the public sector. She is passionate about the power of visualising (or ‘drawing’) strategy and enabling people to use strategy frameworks creatively and collaboratively.

Rebecca’s research has been published in top-tier Strategy and Management journals and has drawn from her studies into the New Zealand Science Sector and the global (re)insurance industry; including how it can be reimagined given escalating risk. She has an interest in strategic tensions and complexity, as well as the actual practice of strategy.
